Hiking in Switzerland – Do I have to climb to the top?

We often get requests from people about wanting to hike in the Alps but aren’t sure they can do it. The fact is that every major village hub, Chamonix, Zermatt, Verbier or the Dolomites in Italy, they all offer a host of beautiful hikes that can start near the top of the mountain in their area. Start the morning by taking the local tram or cable car up to the halfway or top of the local peak and then enjoying the mountain from there. There are plenty of places to eat or stop for a drink. These are hundreds of year old resorts and have eating and drinking establishments spread across theses hiking areas. Then after you have had a few hours of vigorous hiking jump back into the tram and go back down to the village and enjoy a hot tub and a glass of wine… not so bad. Go as a group and send the young people up the trails the hard way and meet them for lunch at the halfway lift stop. There are many options you can consider.

Let us construct for you the perfect hiking experience for the entire family.
